Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressing grave concern over the Biden administration's recent decision to prematurely lift sanctions on Nicolás Maduro's regime. The chairman is requesting further information and urging a change in the administration's failed strategy of appeasement to criminal regimes allied with America's adversaries.

Meeks (D-NY) will host a bipartisan press conference with the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and several family members of individuals held hostage by Hamas to highlight the approaching two month mark since their family members were kidnapped.

Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul has released the following statement in response to the Biden administration's failure to designate the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO), which brings more impact and more penalties than the specially designated global terrorists (SDGT) designation. The Biden White House briefed the media before Congress on this designation, showing a real lack of seriousness in this administration's national security policy.

Washington, D.C. - Yesterday, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Republican members of the committee sent a letter to Secretary of State Blinken following previous efforts to demand the State Department comply with the Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) regarding oversight on humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.
