Austin, TX – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul has announced the full committee will hold a roundtable discussion with some of the family members of the U.S. service members killed in the terrorist attack at the Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA)'s Abbey Gate on August 26, 2021. The attack happened during the emergency evacuation from Afghanistan following the Taliban seizing control of the country on August 15, 2021. Thirteen U.S. service members were killed and 45 more were wounded in the attack, making it the deadliest day for U.S.
