"These leaks were a serious breach of U.S. national security, and I am glad the suspected perpetrator has been arrested. Sensitive information in the hands of our adversaries can be very dangerous. I expect this administration to conduct a thorough investigation and keep Congress updated."

Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul sent a letter to U.S Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday regarding the department's failure to comply with the committee's subpoena compelling it to produce of the July 13, 2021 Dissent Channel cable regarding Afghanistan and the department's official response to it, as well as the insufficiency of the department's summaries of these documents and its April 27 briefing on them.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast issued the following statement upon Israel and Hamas agreeing to the first phase of President Trump’s Gaza peace plan. 

“President Trump just did what career diplomats never could — he brought the world closer than it’s ever been to peace in Gaza. This deal only works if Hamas follows through. We don’t trust terrorists, we trust results.”
