Washington, D.C. - Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul delivered remarks at a full committee hearing entitled, "Behind the Scenes: How the Biden Administration Failed to Enforce the Doha Agreement." In his opening remarks, Chairman McCaul questioned the decision made by President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to abandon Afghanistan, in spite of warnings from high-level advisors and American officials, including U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad, who testified before the committee.

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul spoke on the House Floor in support of two bills: H.R. 4691, the Iran Sanctions Relief Review Act of 2023, and H.R. 6046, the Standing Against Houthi Aggression Act. H.R. 6046 would require the State Department to re-designate the Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, thereby expanding restrictions against the Houthis terrorizing Yemeni civilians and threatening global commerce. Jim Baird (R-IN) introduced the No Official Palestine Entry (NOPE) Act to expand existing funding prohibitions to include U.N. organizations that afford status, rights, or privileges to the Palestinian Authority or Palestine Liberation Organization beyond observer status.

Washington, D.C. –  Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul delivered the following remarks on the House Floor in support of H.R. 8282, the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act. In his remarks, Chairman McCaul criticized the International Criminal Court's (ICC) baseless decision to pursue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and reaffirmed U.S. support for our friend and ally Israel.
