"This week we found out Majd Kamalmaz, a Texan wrongfully detained in Syria in 2017, died while held hostage by the Assad regime. During his captivity, Majd's family fought tirelessly for his release – tragically, the Assad regime has robbed the Kamalmaz family of their future together.

Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul sent a letter to Emily Loeb, counsel to former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, requesting Psaki's testimony before the committee on the Biden administration's catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal, which led to the deaths of 13 U.S. servicemembers. In his letter, Chairman McCaul stated Psaki must make arrangements to schedule her transcribed interview no later than May 28, 2024.
