Washington, D.C. — Today, Chairman McCaul joined Margaret Brennan on CBS' "Face the Nation" to discuss topics including security assistance for America's international partners, Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) for America's Afghan partners abandoned during the Biden administration's disastrous 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan, and threats coming from the country under Taliban rule.

Washington, D.C. — House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the below statement following the Biden administration's failure to grant the U.K. and Australia a defense trade exemption by the initial deadline set out by the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act in order to fully implement the Australia-United Kingdom-United States (AUKUS) security partnership.

Washington, D.C. – During the 21st annual North Korea Freedom Week, the Subcommittees on the Indo-Pacific and Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations will host a bipartisan roundtable with North Korean defectors on Tuesday, July 9th. The roundtable will focus on the Kim regime's actions to maintain its hold on power and efforts of non-governmental organizations to change the hearts and minds of the North Korean people.

That subpoena compelled his testimony on the committee's investigation into the Biden-Harris administration's deadly Afghanistan withdrawal, which resulted in Chairman McCaul's historic report released on September 9, 2024.
