During his remarks, Chairman McCaul underscored the consequences of the Biden administration's failure to plan, including widespread reprisal killings and the murder of 13 American servicemembers.

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul subpoenaed Secretary of State Antony Blinken for his refusal to appear before the committee to testify on the Biden-Harris administration's deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan. Chairman McCaul's request dates back to May 23, 2024, when he first requested the secretary's commitment to appear at a hearing in September regarding the committee's report on the Afghanistan withdrawal.
