Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the following statement welcoming the leaders of the Pacific Island Forum to Capitol Hill last week.

Washington, D.C. – In a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing last week, top Biden administration officials attempted to downplay the Taliban's terrorist ties in an effort to exclude them from an updated authorized use of military force (AUMF). They repeatedly claimed the Taliban is meeting their counterterrorism obligations under the Doha agreement because they are working to defeat ISIS-K.

Washington, D.C. - Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul gave the following remarks at a full committee hearing on repealing and replacing the 2001 and 2002 AUMF's with a new, updated counterterrorism AUMF. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last evening House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul spoke at the State Department's launch of their Global Music Diplomacy Initiative. The State Department's new program is a result of McCaul's PEACE Though Music Diplomacy Act, which was signed into law in 2022. A key provision in McCaul's bill required the State Department to submit a multi-pronged strategy for advancing U.S. foreign policy goals, including conflict resolution and peacebuilding through music-related exchange programs.
