McCaul on Taliban Forbidding Women From Attending College in Afghanistan

Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul has released the following statement following the Taliban’s decision to not allow Afghan women to attend college in Afghanistan.

“The Taliban’s ban on women’s university education is the latest attack on Afghan women and girls. Afghanistan is the only country in the world that bans females from education. This is unacceptable. The Biden administration and international community must hold the Taliban accountable for their appalling actions, including through sanctions and diplomatic isolation.”
