Washington, D.C. – Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the following statement honoring the sacrifice of the 13 U.S. servicemembers killed by a terrorist attack during the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

“Today and every day, I honor and remember the 13 brave servicemembers who lost their lives in the Abbey Gate terrorist attack. Their service and dedication to our country will never be forgotten. Our Gold Star families and the American public deserve to have answers about what happened during the Biden-Harris administration’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan. That is why I am investigating the evacuation and will be releasing a full report in the coming weeks. I will leave no stone unturned to get answers and accountability for the courageous men and women who sacrificed so much for our country.”

The 13 U.S. servicemembers who perished in the Abbey Gate attack are:
