House Foreign Affairs Committee Welcomes King of Jordan
Washington, D.C. – This morning, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), hosted His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for a discussion on U.S.-Jordan economic and security cooperation, the fight against ISIS and other issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, Chairman Royce said: “It was a pleasure to host King Abdullah for a productive and insightful conversation this morning. The people of Jordan are great friends and key allies in our efforts to defeat ISIS and bring peace and stability to the Middle East. As Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, I am committed to strengthening the deep economic and security ties between our two countries.”
