House Foreign Affairs Committee Sends Best Wishes to U.S. Olympic Team
Washington, D.C. – As U.S. Olympians begin arriving in Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Winter Olympics, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and U.S. Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), the Committee’s Ranking Member, today released a bipartisan video in support of Team USA. In the video, Committee Members from across the nation send best wishes to the U.S. Olympic athletes and coaches who will represent the United States at the Winter Games set to begin Thursday.
Chairman Royce and Ranking Member Engel, who open the video together, said: “Some days it seems that there is not a lot of bipartisan agreement in Washington. But with the winter Olympics just days away, we stand together in support of the men and women of the United States Olympic Team. On behalf of the entire House Foreign Affairs Committee, we’d like to wish Team USA the best of luck in this year’s Winter Olympic Games. Go Team USA!”
