Chairman Royce Announces North Korea Hearing

Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) announced the Committee will convene a hearing on Tuesday, February 7 to assess North Korea's nuclear program.  The hearing, entitled "Countering the North Korean Threat: New Steps in U.S. Policy," comes amid several recent high-ranking North Korean defections. Chairman Royce on the hearing:  "Many believe the North Korean regime is on track to complete development of ICBM missiles capable of striking the U.S. homeland.  We cannot allow that to happen.  During this hearing, expert witnesses will testify about the current status of North Korea's nuclear program, its ability to deliver its nuclear arsenal, and how to confront – and stop – these dangerous programs."
