Taipei, Taiwan – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul joined Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press" to discuss his bipartisan delegation's visit to Taiwan and how the United States can strengthen our economic and defense relationship with Taiwan in the face of growing threats in the region. 

Washington, D.C.– House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the following statement after the administration's overdue decision to share Afghanistan withdrawal after-action reports with Congress.

Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul has reiterated compliance with the subpoena for the July 2021 Dissent Channel cable sent by 23 staffers at the Kabul Embassy, as well as Secretary Blinken's response, would only be satisfied by allowing the committee to review the actual documents.

However, in an effort to show good faith, Chairman McCaul expressed the committee's willingness to receive a briefing on the documents – with the understanding that such a briefing does not constitute compliance with the subpoena.

Washington, D.C.- House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the following statement on news Finland has been accepted into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). 

"Congratulations to Finland on joining NATO today. With its impressive military capabilities and long history of cooperation with the alliance, Finland will be a significant security provider, not just a consumer. I urge Turkey and Hungary to also approve Sweden's NATO membership before the Vilnius Leaders' Summit in July."
