Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul has secured an agreement with Secretary Blinken that would allow all Members of the committee a reasonable opportunity to view the dissent channel cable and the response. In response, Chairman McCaul has agreed this would be a satisfactory accommodation to the subpoena and would take contempt off the table. This is the first time in U.S. history that a dissent channel cable has been provided to Congress.

James Baird (R-IN) and Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX) in releasing the following statement regarding the introduction of the U.S.-Israel Partnership and Abraham Accords Enhancement Act of 2023.

Washington, D.C. – Following the Chinese Communist Party ban of Micron, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) and House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) sent a letter to Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, calling on Commerce to work with Japan and South Korea to ensure their companies do not take market share lost to the ban and undercut Micron.
