Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) announced the Committee will meet TOMORROW, Wednesday, April 20 at 10 a.m. to consider:

H.R. 1150, Frank R. Wolf International Religious Freedom Act of 2015, (Mr. Smith) To amend the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 to improve the ability of the United States to advance religious freedom globally through enhanced diplomacy, training, counterterrorism, and foreign assistance efforts, and through stronger and more flexible political responses to religious freedom violations and violent extremism worldwide, and for other purposes.

An Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute is expected to be offered by Mr. Smith.

H.R. 3694, Strategy to Oppose Predatory Organ Trafficking Act, (Mr. Trott) To combat trafficking in human organs, and for other purposes.

            An Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute is expected to be offered by Mr. Trott.

H.R. 4939, Caribbean Strategic Engagement Act of 2016, (Mr. Engel) To increase engagement with the governments of the Caribbean region, the Caribbean diaspora community in the United States, and the private sector and civil society in both the United States and the Caribbean, and for other purposes.

H. Con. Res. 88, Reaffirming the Taiwan Relations Act and the Six Assurances as the cornerstone of United States-Taiwan relations, (Mr. Chabot).

An Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute is expected to be offered by Mr. Chabot.

S. 284, Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act, (Mr. Cardin) A bill to impose sanctions with respect to foreign persons responsible for gross violations of internationally recognized human rights, and for other purposes.

S. 2143, A bill to provide for the authority for the successors and assigns of the Starr-Camargo Bridge Company to maintain and operate a toll bridge across the Rio Grande near Rio Grande City, Texas, and for other purposes, (Mr. Cornyn).
