Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) issued the following statement on the Senate’s passage (by 98-2) of the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (H.R. 3364), which sanctions Iran, Russia, and North Korea for dangerous and belligerent actions that undermine the United States and our allies:

“I am pleased the Senate has acted overwhelmingly to give the administration much-needed economic and political leverage to address threats from Iran, Russia, and North Korea.  This bipartisan bill is about keeping America safe, and I urge the president to sign it into law.”

NOTE: H.R. 3364 passed the House July 25 by a vote of 419-3.
