Washington, D.C. — House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the following statement on the election of North Korea to the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO).

“The election of North Korea to the Executive Board of the World Health Organization is yet another example of communist influence on the WHO and of the WHO’s failure to uphold its policies and good governance standards. Taiwan and South Korea would be far better picks than the murderous North Korean regime, which has no qualifications as a global health leader.”
