McCaul on House Democrats’ Decision to Pull Iron Dome Funding from CR
Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul has released the following statement in response to House Democrats’ decision to pull $1 billion in funding for Israel’s Iron Dome system from the continuing resolution.
“I am appalled Democrat leadership stripped $1 billion to support Israel’s Iron Dome system from the continuing resolution. Just a few months ago, Israel was attacked by over 4,000 rockets launched by Hamas. The Iron Dome saved lives and helped limit civilian casualties during this terrifying escalation. There is strong bipartisan support to supply our friend and ally Israel with the tools to defend itself against future threats and I would urge Democrat leaders to reconsider this dangerous decision.”
