Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul released a statement in response to recent North Korean missile tests. Only one month into 2022, the Kim regime has conducted four tests of a total of six missiles.

“The Biden administration’s reluctance to check America’s enemies weakens our position on the world stage and emboldens those who wish us harm. The recent upswing in North Korea’s nuclear belligerence is one more example of our adversaries taking advantage of this administration’s weak foreign policy. I strongly urge the administration to impose maximum pressure and meaningful consequences on the Kim regime and the networks that enable its nuclear and ballistic missile development. The United States will remain committed to our allies the Republic of Korea and Japan, and the complete denuclearization of North Korea.”
