Chairman McCaul Delivers Remarks At Bipartisan Press Conference With Families of Hamas Hostages
Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Chairman Michael McCaul delivered the following remarks at a bipartisan press conference alongside the American Jewish Committee and families of individuals held hostage by Hamas.
– Highlights from the Chairman’s remarks –
“It is shocking to me that we now have witnessed the largest killing of the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Since my father’s war: World War II. … What we are seeing in Gaza is very dark now. We have these hostages, and these families – bring them home now. Bring them home. They are in darkness. Literally, in tunnels. I talked to a mother, her daughter came out and she said, ‘My daughter was in darkness.’ She hadn’t seen the sun in 50 days in a tunnel, and she was in darkness. They brought her out into the light. We need to provide that light. The light always overcomes the darkness.”
