In recent months, ISIS has gone global — carrying out attacks in San Bernardino and Paris. But the Obama administration continues to resist confronting radical Islamist terrorism directly and labeling ISIS’s efforts to destroy Christians and other minority faiths as genocide.

North Korea’s oppressive regime threatened Tuesday to “wipe out” the United States with a nuclear apocalypse. Sadly, many no longer blink an eye at North Korea’s threats. The regime has been vowing to turn America into a “sea of fire” for years.

Wednesday, November 4 marks the thirty-sixth anniversary of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. Fifty-two Americans were held captive by Iranian “students” at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, subjected to 444 days of living hell.

Last December, President Obama announced a major shift in US-Cuban relations. The White House left Congress and most of the President’s own Administration – including the State Department – in the dark. Instead, two White House aides held a series of secret talks with the Cuban regime over two years – talks which the Administration has since conceded were “non-transactional.” In other words, these turned out to be one-sided negotiations, with the U.S. making a series of concessions to Havana.

We’ve reached peak farce. On Friday, while signaling yet another extension of the Iran nuclear negotiations, Secretary of State John Kerry struck an optimistic note: “I think it’s safe to say that we have made progress today.” “The atmosphere,” he added, “is very constructive.”

Too often of late I’m reminded of George Orwell’s novel “1984.” Inside the Ministry of Truth, Winston Smith works each day erasing history. Smith’s job is to carefully delete people and events from newspaper articles that are not to Big Brother’s liking.

We’ve seen this before. President Obama’s Iran nuclear deal looks increasingly like the disastrous deal the United States struck with the regime in North Korea. In 1994, the U.S. government signed a nuclear deal with North Korea that, according to then-President Clinton, would “make the United States, the Korean Peninsula and the world safer.” The agreement, we were told, did “not rely on trust,” but instead would involve a verification program that would stop the North Koreans from ever acquiring a nuclear bomb. Sound familiar?

Vladimir Putin has a secret army. It’s an army of thousands of “trolls,” TV anchors and others who work day and night spreading anti-American propaganda on the Internet, airwaves and newspapers throughout Russia and the world. Mr. Putin uses these misinformation warriors to destabilize his neighbors and control parts of Ukraine. This force may be more dangerous than any military, because no artillery can stop their lies from spreading and undermining U.S. security interests in Europe.

The outlines of a nuclear deal with Iran are in place. Unfortunately, it seems like too many in President Barack Obama's administration have forgotten that the only reason this terrorist-supporting state came to the negotiating table in the first place was because of tough sanctions imposed by the U.S. Congress.

A year before the Sept. 11 attacks, a US drone flew over an Afghan al-Qaeda training camp, beaming back video footage that showed a tall man in white. That figure, the CIA concluded, was Osama bin Laden.
