Speaker Ryan signs END Wildlife Trafficking Act

Washington, D.C. – Last week, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) signed the END Wildlife Trafficking Act (H.R. 2494), which helps the United States and partner countries combat today’s unprecedented level of poaching and wildlife trafficking.  Some of the world’s most iconic animals are killed on such a large scale that extinction is almost certain if current trends continue.  The bill, authored by Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA), now awaits President Obama’s signature after passing both the House and the Senate with overwhelming bipartisan support.  Find out more about Chairman Royce’s bill HERE.
