Washington, D.C. – On Capitol Hill today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) hosted foreign ministers from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia for a discussion on regional security threats including Russia’s troubling actions in the Baltics.

Chairman Royce issued this statement on the meeting: “It is my pleasure to welcome our friends and allies today. Our relationship to the Baltic States is strong and enduring, solidified through years of Soviet occupation – when the U.S. refused to recognize their incorporation into the U.S.S.R.

“Today, our Baltic allies again face a Kremlin determined to undermine, interfere and intimidate. The United States must stand solidly with its allies as we work together to counter these aggressive acts.”
