Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul has released the following statement ahead of President Biden’s State of the Union speech tonight.

“Unfortunately, President Biden’s foreign policy failures have continued to embolden our adversaries. I hope during tonight’s State of the Union address, Biden is able to share upcoming efforts to show strength in the face of the CCP’s espionage attempts and Russia’s continued unprovoked aggression against Ukraine and also provide answers on why the withdrawal from Afghanistan was such a disaster. Biden’s priority must be to protect our country from the many challenges the U.S. and our allies face on the world stage, and that will require a major shift in the administration’s current strategy.”
