Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul released a statement on the State Department’s 2021 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices.
“This year’s report is yet another reminder that human rights violators across the world are continuing to commit acts of barbarity. The U.S. must remain vigilant and stand against the CCP’s genocide, the ongoing atrocities in Ethiopia, the Kremlin’s war crimes, and all other human rights abuses perpetrated by authoritarian regimes and other bad actors around the world. Basic human rights are a pillar of freedom and democracy, and I will continue to fight for the rights of every person by working across the aisle and with our allies and partners.”
