McCaul, Meeks Commemorate NATO’s 75th Anniversary
Washington, D.C. — Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) and Ranking Member Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY) released the following statement commemorating the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
“As we mark 75 years of NATO, we celebrate not just a landmark in history, but an enduring symbol of collective commitment and resilience. In an era of major threats from Russia, China, and other adversaries, this Alliance remains a cornerstone of America’s national security. Our commitment to mutual defense and burden sharing to address our common threats is unwavering, and NATO Member States’ collective support for Ukraine amidst Putin’s unprovoked war of aggression is a testament to our unity. The 75th anniversary reaffirms our dedication to these principles, our shared values, and to an enduring transatlantic bond.”
