McCaul Joins Leader McCarthy in Standing Up for Americans Left Behind

Washington, D.C.- Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul joined Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, congressional veterans, and others to stand up for Americans and our Afghan partners who were left behind in Afghanistan. 

“Last night, our planes left in the middle of the night. We left Afghanistan as the Taliban celebrated their victory…I never thought I would see this in my life. We had an unconditional surrender to the Taliban. It’s embarrassing, shameful, and wrong to our veterans. We’ve emboldened our adversaries, and we’ve weakened our alliances,” said Lead Republican McCaul.
