Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Lead Republican Michael McCaul has announced that McLaurine Pinover will be joining the staff as press secretary. Pinover most recently served as communications director for Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC), who serves on the committee. Pinover joins Leslie Shedd, who serves as communications director, and Yimmi Fontenot, who serves as deputy press secretary, on the committee’s communications team.

“We are very pleased to have McLaurine Pinover join our team at the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” said Lead Republican Michael McCaul. “Her previous experience on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch will be a valuable asset to the committee as we continue to work to advance America’s interests around the world.”

Pinover was previously assistant press secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, special assistant to the senior advisor for policy at the White House, and press assistant for former U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions. She is a graduate of Auburn University and hails from Auburn, AL.

“I am very excited to be joining the communications team for the House Foreign Affairs Republicans,” Pinover stated. “I am eager to get to work to help address our country’s current foreign policy challenges and achieve our goals on the world stage.”
