WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10) has brought on Gaby Hurt to serve as the new House Foreign Affairs Committee press secretary. Hurt joins the committee from the White House, where she served as a press assistant. She previously worked for Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), and also served as an intern on the committee, working with the Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere. Hurt joins Leslie Shedd, who serves as the communications director, and Emily Cassil, who serves as the deputy press secretary.

“I’m pleased to welcome Gaby to the Foreign Affairs Committee team,” stated Lead Republican McCaul. “Her previous experience on Capitol Hill and at the White House will be a valuable resource to the committee as we continue to work to advance America’s interests around the world.”

Hurt graduated from American University and hails from Charlotte, North Carolina.
