Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) announced the Committee will meet TOMORROW, Wednesday, May 3 at 10 a.m. to consider:

H.R. 1625, Targeted Rewards for the Global Eradication of Human Trafficking Act (Mr. Royce), to amend the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 to include severe forms of trafficking in persons within the definition of transnational organized crime for purposes of the rewards program of the Department of State.

H.R. 1677, Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2017 (Mr. Engel), to halt the wholesale slaughter of the Syrian people, encourage a negotiated political settlement, and hold Syrian human rights abusers accountable for their crimes.

An Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute is expected to be offered by Mr. Engel.

H.R. 2200, Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Reauthorization Act of 2017 (Mr. Smith), to reauthorize the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000.

An Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute is expected to be offered by Mr. Smith.
