Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, welcomed Rep. Curt Clawson (R-FL) as the newest Committee Member.  Rep. Clawson will serve on the Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific
and the Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa.

Chairman Royce said:
“I am pleased to welcome Curt Clawson to the Committee.  He may be new to Congress, but he is not new to working on international issues; his fluency in four languages and his time residing in six countries speak to this.  He is an excellent addition to the Committee.  Given Rep. Clawson’s previous work as CEO of a global manufacturing company and broad understanding of different cultures, I particularly look forward to working with him as the Committee continues to promote freedom and advance U.S. interests throughout the world.”

Rep. Clawson said:
“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity that House Leadership and Chairman Royce have placed in me.  I have long believed the world is not static, and as a global businessman I witnessed this first-hand.  As a member of Chairman Royce’s team, I look forward to doing my part to meet the challenges of our ever changing world to stay ahead of our enemies and help those who cherish freedom and liberty.”
