Washington, D.C. – Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) announced the Committee will convene a hearing on Thursday, September 29 to examine the Administration’s policies throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.  The hearing, entitled “Advancing U.S. Interests in Latin America and the Caribbean,” will begin at 10 a.m.

Chairman Royce on the hearing:  “The deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Venezuela and the government’s efforts to undermine its people’s constitutional right to a presidential referendum is deeply concerning.  Committee members will have an opportunity to press the administration on its approach to this crisis, as well as discuss what can be done more broadly in Latin America and the Caribbean with our regional partners to promote shared values of peace, prosperity and democracy.”
