Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, announced that on Tuesday, September 16 at 2pm, the Committee will convene a hearing at which Secretary of State John Kerry will testify about whether or not the Obama Administration has yet developed a strategy for combatting the terrorist group ISIS.
Chairman Royce on the hearing: “The President said his Administration had no strategy against ISIS two weeks ago, despite it long being on the march. The Administration is sending mixed messages now. ISIS is a serious threat to U.S. national security. The Committee needs to hear a comprehensive strategy from Secretary Kerry on how the Administration is going to confront this brutal and sophisticated terrorist group.”
