Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) announced the committee will convene a hearing on Wednesday, March 21, entitled “The FY 2019 Foreign Assistance Budget.” The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Chairman Royce on the hearing: “It’s important that the Agency for International Development be effectively engaged throughout the world promoting development, public health, conservation and other challenges to our national security. As this committee continues its work to modernize food aid – with the goal of reaching more people at less cost – this hearing will give members an opportunity to hear directly from USAID, the agency responsible for providing humanitarian assistance, as we review the president’s budget request and USAID’s redesign efforts.”
