Washington, D.C. — Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul announced Taiwan’s Representative to the United States, Ambassador Alexander Yui, will be his guest at Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s joint address to Congress on Thursday, April 11th.
“I am pleased Ambassador Yui will join me as my guest at Prime Minister Kishida’s joint address to Congress,” stated Chairman McCaul. “Ambassador Yui’s attendance underscores the importance of the bilateral U.S.-Taiwan partnership and America’s commitment to supporting our partners in East Asia. I look forward to working with our partners — including Taiwan and Japan — to promote greater regional cooperation, prosperity, and stability in Asia and the Indo-Pacific.”
