Subcommittee Hearing: China’s Expanding Influence in Europe and Eurasia

With the recent announcement of Italy joining China’s Belt and Road Initiative, this hearing will examine China’s rising influence and activities in Europe through its economic diplomacy efforts. Specifically, the Subcommittee will look at the potential national security and economic threats to several of our allies from China’s engagement on infrastructure spending, telecommunications integration, and financial coercion.
