McCaul Statement on U.S. Response to CCP Crackdown on Hong Kong

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael McCaul, Republican Leader on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement on President Trump’s announcements regarding U.S. action in response to the Chinese Communist Party’s crackdown on freedoms Hong Kong. 

“The Chinese Communist Party’s aggression in Hong Kong has taken away their autonomy and has violated the terms of the Sino-British treaty. We will always stand with the freedom-loving people of Hong Kong and for our shared democratic values. The Chinese Communist Party officials responsible for these human rights abuses must be held accountable.”
